Sanne Castro

Sanne cofounded SimGas in 2009. Inspiration for the company emerged from Sanne’s Master’s thesis research, which addressed the feasibility of large-scale biogas systems in Tanzania and Ghana. Sanne is an energy systems engineer focused on sustainable agriculture and energy systems. He manages business activities for SimGas in both the Netherlands and East Africa. Sanne is responsible for SimGas’s product development and technology implementation.
Mirik Castro

Mirik cofounded SimGas in 2009. He is a systems engineer trained in policy analysis and management with experience in diverse sectors, including the production industry, utility companies and government. Mirik is the financial director of SimGas and manager for the development of micro-finance products. He manages business activities for SimGas in both the Netherlands and East Africa.
Chandler Hatton

Chandler is an industrial design engineer with a background in mechanical engineering. She specializes in product design and technical development of goods and systems that bring clean, innovative, and transformational technologies to the masses. Chandler joined SimGas in February, 2011. As Technical Officer, she leads the company’s product design and development projects and manages implementation and marketing.
Winnie Versol

Winnie is an engineer in Technical Innovation Sciences. Before joining SimGas, she gained three years of experience in renewable energy, project management and market development in East-Africa. Winnie joined SimGas in October 2011 and specialises in business development, including subsidies, carbon finance and micro-finance.
Cyril Gips

Cyril is an industrial design engineer with a background in sustainable design. During his time at the Delft University of Technology he started a sustainable design company, which designs a broad spectrum products ranging from conference table solutions to modular fertilizer mixing containers. In October 2011 Cyril joined the SimGas team, where he is an Assistant Product Designer in the R&D division.

Daan is a mechanical engineer and has a broad background in product development. He specialises in the calculations needed for product development. In march 2013 Daan joined Simgas and works part time as an assistant development engineer.
